Workload/Attendance/Participation:
We will mainly be engaging in three different tasks: thinking, reading, and lots of writing. If you come prepared to do these threes things, along with keeping an open mind, then you will have no problem passing this class and hopefully having fun too.
Attendance and Class Participation: (20% of overall grade)
Due to the amount of work we will be engaging in and quickness of the semester once it starts rolling, I need to have regular (translation: all the time) attendance from all class members. This means coming to class prepared, ready to work and with your completed tasks, every Monday-Thursday. Your absence from the class will not only hurt your own progress and experience, but of those who do make the effort to be here regularly. There will be no more than six (6) absences total of any kind throughout the semester. Six absences will result in automatic failure of the course. After two (2) absences, I will lower your final letter grade by one whole grade (thus, an ‘A’ would automatically become a ‘B’). Any absences after two will result in further decreases in your final grade. Just a reminder: you need to have a ‘C’ or better to submit a Final Portfolio at the end of the session.

hard to be here both physically and mentally. If you know
in advance that you will not be in class, please let me know so
we can make other arrangements for you to complete the assigned
