Gus Samba is a full Professor in the Computer Science Dept at Kent State University. Gus received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Math and Computer Science respectively, from the University of Liverpool in England.
Prior to joining Kent State University, he worked at AT&T Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies and QuikCAT Technologies. He has more than 16 years research and development (R&D) experience in telecommunications, communications software, systems engineering, and systems architecture.
Dr. Samba’s research has led to his receiving three U.S. patents, two Canadian, one Japanese, one Korean and one European (Britain, France and Germany). His current research interests include wireless/mobile networking, intelligent systems, next generation network management systems; and computational modeling, analysis, simulation of signal pathways in the Central and Peripheral Nervous Systems.
