This project, for my typography class, was one in which we could have fun creatng a metaphor out of any word. However, it was important to focus on not creating an illustration. I turned in the “slashed” for a grade and kept the “emotion” metaphor for my sophomore review.
These layouts were created in my VCD II class. We were given place holder text for all the copy so if we needed to make something align, we could just cut off a letter and it wouldn’t matter. These projects were my first real ‘designs’.
This was also a project for my typography class where we had to take a design principle and opposition and create an interesting composition. For example, my first design (the 6) uses positive/negative and space.
