It is important to understand the difference between stopping and pausing the camcorder while making a recording.

You will be able to do some simple editing "in the camera" by starting and pausing the camcorder using the PAUSE/STILL button.

In some cases, you may want to add some new video at the end of some existing scenes.  To do that, follow these steps for making manual edits.

• Set the VCR/CAMERA switch to VCR

• Press REWIND to go back a few seconds on the tape.

• Press PLAY to review the picture in the viewfinder

• Press PAUSE/STILL at the location you wish to continue your recording.

• To prepare for recording, set the VCR/CAMERA switch to CAMERA.  The camcorder will go into the RECORD/PAUSE mode.

• Press the RECORD/PAUSE button to continue recording.
