This non-progressive, three-hand dance is to begin with dancers in a side-by-side line,
facing forward in the line of dance.
The trio may be of any gender; commonly, however, a gent dances between two ladies.
The line of dance is anticlockwise around the perimeter of the dance area.
The step is an ordinary fling step (lift-2-3-4) and as shown below.
When similarly danced, this ceili dance is also known as the HIGHLAND FLING, the
HEEL-TOE, the SCHOTTISCHE (1. SCHAT  ish   2.  SCHAD ish    3.  schah TEESH)
              and perhaps by other names.
Gents begin forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot.
Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold.
Documentation is based upon a workshop taught by Timmy McCarthy at Frederick,
Maryland, USA on March 17, 2001.
