	This dance from County Clare, Ireland is also known as THE   CRUSHEEN  LANCERS  SET.
	Gents begin forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot.
	Swing in waltz hold.
	Dance ordinary reel steps -- lift-2-3-4 and step, step, 3-4-5.
	Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold.
	The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music.
	First side couple is on the left of the first top couple.

FIGURE 1 -- REELS (160 BARS)

All couples:	lead around anticlockwise, with crossed-hands (rights on top)6;
	turn-the-lady under clockwise with both hands2;
	swing in waltz hold8.
Top couples:	first top gent and second top lady :
	advance to the center left shoulder to left, turn out from one another
	clockwise and take waltz hold4; swing in waltz hold and end the swing
	with back to respective home position4.
Top couples:	square the set:
	all dance across the set passing the first dancer right shoulder to right;
	pivot ninety degrees into the set; then pass the next dancer left shoulder
	to left; pivot ninety degrees (still squaring into the set); then pass the
	next dancer right shoulder to right, pivot ninety degrees (still squaring
	into the set) and pass the next dancer left shoulder to left shoulder8.
All couples:	swing corner partner in waltz hold (gents turn left and ladies turn right)8;
	swing original partner in waltz hold8;
	repeat from     with second top gent/first top lady, first side gent/second side
	lady then second side gent/first side lady leading96;
	full house, doubling the last two bars (all houses of the set are in waltz hold)8.

All couples:	lead around anticlockwise, with crossed-hands (rights on top)6; turn the lady
	under clockwise with both hands2;
	swing in waltz hold8.
First top couple:	house inside8;
	as the gent dances in-place, turn the lady clockwise under-the-finger four times,
	right-hand-in-right8;
	first top couple dance past one another twice (right shoulder to right each time,
	cross2, turn2, cross and to-place in line4) and join lines; second top
	couple split-off to join sides forming two facing lines on bar six8;
Lines-of-four:	holding closest hands, advance and retire twice (step, step, 3-4-5)--except end
	couples of the lines dance in-place (at home) instead of retiring the
	second time8.
All couples:	swing in waltz hold8;
	repeat from     with second top couple, first side couple then second side
	couple leading120.

All couples:	lead around anticlockwise, with crossed-hands (rights on top)6; turn the lady

All ladies:	advance and retire twice (no touch, step, step, 3-4-5)8;
All gents:	advance and retire twice (no touch, step, step, 3-4-5) then join left hands in
	the center and place right arms at partner’s back as each lady places her
	left hand on her partner’s upper arm / shoulder8;
All couples:	lead around anticlockwise6; partners turn in to one another and reverse directions
	and arm positions2;
	lead around clockwise6; turn to partner and form a circle-of-eight2;
	big Christmas clockwise and change directions, stamping the left foot
	toward the center8;
	big Christmas anticlockwise, releasing ring-of-eight on the last two bars and
	swinging to home in waltz hold8;
	swing in waltz hold8;

	hold and partners turn clockwise once2;
	chain to home and during the last two bars, line up in a single file (ladies in front)
	behind first top who face out from their home;
	first side couple files up behind first top, second side couple files up behind
	first side, and second top couple files up last8;
Files:	side-step with gents dancing to the left and ladies dancing to the right (step, step,
	step 3-4-5)4;
	side-step the opposite direction with gents dancing right and ladies left; face the
	opposite line and take closer (inside) hands4;
Lines:	advance and retire twice (step, step, 3-4-5)8;
All couples:	partners dance to respective homes4; swing in waltz hold (two revolutions)4;
