This set is from County Tipperary, Ireland. The set may also be known as the | |
MOGLASS, KILKENNY BEG, ST. JOHNSTOWN, DRANGAN, CLOONEEN, FETHARD | |
and COOLMOYE. In the past, the dancers and musicians in and around Tipperary | |
just called this the LANCER SET. The KILENAULE LANCERS SET is similar to parts | |
of the TIPPERARY LANCERS , the RATHGORMACK LANCERS and the | |
KILMANAGH LANCERS. | |
Gents dance forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot. | |
Bar counts for dance patterns are shown in bold. | |
The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music. Gents | |
sometimes batter during last two bars of Introductions. | |
First Side couple is on the left of the first top couple. | |
