Couples take waltz hold throughout for this two hand, non-progressive,
dance. |
Couples
may be in a ring around the perimeter of the dance floor in the line of
dance |
(anticlockwise). Couples may optionally be in a line(s) facing the musicians or |
be randomly assembled on the dance
floor. More collisions are possible with the |
random organization. |
Typically, the Long
German tune is
played for the dance; another 12-bar-phrased |
tune may also be used; the introductory music
should be twelve bars long. |
Gents begin forward on the left foot
and ladies begin forward on the right foot. |
Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are
shown in bold. |
