This set was recorded in Lorrha Hall on Sunday 22nd May 2005. We wish to
thank Nonie Flaherty, Nancy Armitage, Noeleen Keeshan, Teresa Cleary and
Freida Tierney for dancing the set. We would also like to thank Mary and
Mick McGeeney and Donal Morrissey for organizing this opportunity to
revive the set. Padraig McEneany
Swing in ceili hold. | |
Chain: gents pull the hand / face in -- Ladies give right-hand-in-right-hand at
waist-height in the center and dance to the opposite gent; ladies give
left-hand-in-left to the gent; as the gent continues to face into the set,
the couple raise left arms and the lady dances around the gent and dances
to home; the ladies chain right-hand-in-right as they dance to home.
The first four Figures are danced as a half-set.
First Couple: In this half set, the First couple begins with backs to the music
(as does First Top Couple in a full set). However, if determined before the music
starts, the half set couples orientation may be otherwise.
Gents dance forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot.
Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold.
The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music.
Documentation is based upon notes provided by Padraig and Roisin McEneany and
upon a workshop they taught in Cape May, New Jersey USA in October 2005.
