This set was composed February 9, 2006, by Jim Keenan. The set is also known as | |
the LOUVAIN SET. | |
All couples dance all the time during the set. That is, couples only stand during the | |
eight-bar introduction of each Figure. | |
Swing in elbow ceili hold in Figures 1 and 3: Partners grasp right thumbs at shoulder- | |
height and place left hands under the right elbows; position of feet and | |
swing action are the same as those of the waltz, hug or ceili hold swing keep | |
the ball of the right foot much like a pivot point and push around one another | |
with the left foot. | |
Swing in waltz hold in Figure 2. | |
Gents dance forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot. | |
Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold. | |
The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music. | |
