The traditional step for reels is two heel-bounces with two opposite toe-taps then | |
down with the front (tapping) foot1; repeat beginning with the opposite foot | |
leading1. For jigs, the traditional step is back/down on the leading foot (gents | |
right, ladies left), batter-down; repeat beginning with the opposite foot leading. | |
