This non-progressive, two-hand, 24-bar
dance is to begin with dancers facing in a |
room-encircling ring with gents on the inside; partners face one another and |
take right-hand-in-right.
At some sites, however, couples dance-free in the |
available space while others dance another reel pattern. |
The line of
dance is anticlockwise. |
The dance is often danced on the toes in a lively bouncing mode (ceili style). |
Gents begin forward on the left foot
and ladies begin on the right foot. |
Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are
shown in bold. |
Documentation is based upon a
video workshop led by Pat Murphy. |
