Nelson grew up on a small dairy farm in rural North Eastern Ohio. An only child, much of his time was taken by imagination. While still attending high school Nelson took classes at Cleveland Institute of the Arts, and later moved to Philadelphia to enroll with the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. After several years of working various teaching and art training jobs, he packed up his bags and left for the country again. Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in art education from Kent State, he now resides in Geauga county Ohio.
