Individual:

• Diatonic interval drill
• Chromatic Scale ascending and descending
• Diatonic Interval Drill
• T2 and T4 - Seventh Chords Drill (The whole exercise)
• Diatonic seventh chord drill in major and in minor
• Secondary Dominant Drill
• Dannhäuser:

  • 51, 52, 53, 54, 58, 59, 60,  (mandatory)

  • Must know the key that is comfortable for your range
  • You can play DO on the piano (once in a while)
  • The test is over if you appear insecure about the meter, solfege syllables or conducting
  • Do not write syllables in your book except for modulation points.

In Class Written Theory Test

• Questions about the pieces we have analyzed:
  • Bring your annotated scores to class
• Questions about:
  • Binary and Ternary Table
  • Sonata Form
• Harmonize a bass line using the techniques learned in class (review scale degrees I through VI)

In Class Written Ear Training Test

• All intervals ascending and descending
• Triads in all inversions
• Seventh chords in root position
• Melodic dictation
• Harmonic Dictation - 4 Part dictation
