Foreign Language Teaching and the Internet: Resources and Strategies for the Classroom Teacher

- This workshop will provide foreign language teachers who have little or no experience using the Internet with the knowledge and skills required to integrate the foreign language resources of the Internet into their classroom. The workshop will focus on the structure of the Internet, the kinds of resources it contains, the techniques and tools required to access and retrieve those resources, and ideas for integrating Internet facilities, such as Web Pages and MUDs, into classroom teaching.

Foreign Language Teaching and the Computer: Foreign Language Instruction Using Presentation Software and Internet Realia

- This workshop will provide foreign language teachers who have little or no experience with presentation software (e.g., Powerpoint) with the skills required to
integrate computer-controlled slide presentations into their classroom teaching. The workshop will focus on the operation of presentation software, the design of pedagogically sound multimedia (sound, video, image) presentations, and sources and resources for presentation content.
