INSTALLING THE BORLA STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST ON MY 70 CHEVELLE
THIS IS HOW THE EXHAUST LOOKS WHEN YOU GET STARTED
I cut off 10" of Headpipe on the drivers side and 4" off of the passenger side. I had to buy new collectors to attach the head pipes to the headers. The Borla pipes, mufflers, and collectors are prewelded at the factory. The collectors are 3" and my Super Super Comp Headers are 3.5". I had to have the head pipes expanded to accept the new 3.5" to 3" collectors. Overall this is a very nice kit. Borla incorporates Stainless Steel w/Rubber mounts in 4 factory locations(BOLT ON). The Tailpipes are slightly smaller than 3" maybe 2.75. The area to watch for is the turn over the axle. I have .75" from the shocks and .5" from the upper control arms. The install seems solid. Only time will tell if the mounts allow the exhaust to move around enough to hit the control arms or shocks. The car sounds good and is fairly quite at idle. When I punch the throttle the exhaust has a very crisp and loud sound so I guess I have the best of both worlds.

MUFFLERS TUCKED UP OUT OF THE WAY.
TAILPIPE ROUTING AROUND REAR TIRE LEAVES PLENTY OF ROOM.
TAILPIPES ARE SUPPORTED BY STAINLESS BRACKETS THAT BOLT TO THE FACTORY LOCATIONS NICE!!
