This video is an example of direct instruction. I am teaching the entire class a new jump rope skill. First, I instruct and show the class the skill, and then I allow a few students to demonstrate the skill as well while I continue to pinpoint the teaching cues.

This video is an example of task teaching. This was the final lesson of a throwing and catching unit, so four throwing and catching stations had been set up. This teaching style allows students to be independent while working on improving their already learned skills. |

This video is an example of guided discovery. I notice the students are struggling to get open because they are crowding around the player with the ball. I stop the game and ask where the best place is for the player to move and receive the ball. |
