The Porter Chemical Company as well as other manufacturers of chemistry sets began to incorporate atomic energy into their chemistry sets shortly after World War II.  The Chemcraft No. 10 set contained uranium ore, a radium spinthariscope, and a small plastic vial of a uranium compound.
