NOVELTY PENCILS
Ca late 1950s
In 1956, the
Kingston Pencil Corporation received a license and began to manufacture
novelty pencils for advertising and promotion. The pencils contained a
small amount of low-grade uranium ore in a plastic tube attached to the end
of the pencil and sealed by the eraser. These two particular pencils were
salesman’s samples which belonged to a Brown and Bigelow Advertising
salesman. |
