Sickness behavior consists of the nonspecific symptoms which we commonly associate with illness.  This pattern of behavior change represents a coordinated effort to help the immune system fight off pathogens.

Through the examination of sickness behavior, psychologists may study the consequences of immune system activation.

Currently, I have been using sickness behaviors, such as reduced food consumption and body temperature to investigate multiple stimulation of the innate immune system.
