About Me

Greetings! My name is Johnathan Kirk. I'm a Master's student in Geography at Kent State University. I'm interested in weather, hazard mapping, GIS, and hydrology. My thesis focuses on riverine flood inundation mapping by creating a river model which generates probabilistic inundation output based on real-time forecasts and observations in a GIS environment.
For more on that, check out the Thesis tab. I hope to apply my backgrounds in meteorology and forecasting with GIS in my future endeavors.
