Fitzpatricks
The Fitzpatrick lineage began with my father's father, Paul Edward Fitzpatrick (born Paul Aloyious King). He was born in July 1923, and was adopted by Edward and Garnet (Murphy) Fitzpatrick in 1926.
We don't have extensive information about his birth family or Fitzpatrick lineage because of his adoption.
Pereras
The Perera family is my paternal grandmother's heritage. My grandma, Grace Wetzler, is the granddaughter of John and Mary Garcia.
Both her grandparents were born in Portugal in the mid 1880s. Their son, John (Juan) Perera, and his wife Engracia (Grace) had 11 children total:
Ray, Ruth, Lucinda, America, Carmena, Joseph, Neva Olivia, Louis, John, Grace and Rose.
My grandma Grace was born in March 1929 in Oklahoma. She was 10th of the 11 children.
Grace Perera married Paul Fitzpatrick in 1952. Paul passed away in 1988. Grace remarried, to Duane Wetzler, in 1997. Duane passed in 2009.
My immediate family
Grace and Paul had two children, named Paul (1961) and Susan (1964).
Paul is my father. He married my
mom, Barb Flanigan, in Pittsburgh in 1983. They had my sister, Briana, in 1986, and me, Kelli, in 1992. We were both born in Indiana.
Susan married Dan Clingan in 1984. They adopted three children, Sam, Christopher and Amber.
