The Flanigan family name is through my maternal grandfather's side. My great-great-grandpa John Flanigan came from Ireland;
my great-great-grandma Nettie was from Canada. They had nine children, including my great-grandpa, Raymond.
Jane (Johanna) Blaha came from a family of five boys and five girls.
Jane and Raymond married in 1923.
They had two sons, James born in Portvue in 1927, and Wilbur in 1926, whom the family called Jolly.
James is my grandfather, but we all call him Tig.
James and Ella Chamberlin, my great-great-grandparents, were born in the 1860s. They had six children:
James Jr. (1893), Thomas (1895), Samuel (1898), Mariam (1899), Alpheus (1904) and Susan (1902).
Mariam Chamberlin is my great-grandma, or my grandmother's mom.
The Sechrists were my grandmother's paternal family side. My great-great-grandpa Eugene and Leona Sechrist wed in 1897.
They had seven children, including my great-grandpa, Paul, in 1900.
Mariam Chamberlin married Paul Sechrist and had three children of their own. Helen was born in 1922; she had Linda, Judy and Kathy.
Robert was born in 1923, and had two sons named Jimmy and Bobby. Finally, in 1930, my grandma Shirley was born.
She married my grandpa Tig in 1958 .
My grandparents, Tig and Shirley, had my aunt Sue in 1960 and my mom, Barb, in 1961. My mom married Paul Fitzpatrick in 1983.
They had my sister, Briana, in 1986, and me, Kelli, in 1992. We were both born in Indiana. My aunt Sue married George Driver in 1988.
