Progression practices for fielding

Progression practices for rounding

First drill will be done with a partner. You and a partner will stand apart while one throws a ground ball to you and you field it and throw it back.

First drill  is to hit a ball and run to first base like you are to round it to go to second.

The second drill is like the first drill. You and a partner will stand apart but this time you both will give each other ground balls and you both field ground balls.

The second drill you will have a first base coach. You will hit the ball and run to first base and have to listen to the coach to see if you run through or round the base.
