State Capitol: Salt Lake City
Nickname: Beehive State
Population: 2,817,222 (2011 est)
The name "Utah" comes from the Native American "Ute" tribe and means people of the mountains.
Utah is home to many amazing national parks including Byrce Canyon and Arches. After traveling there last year, I have had an interest in what else there is to see within the state. With this project, I hope to make a list of new places to visit within the state!
In researching basic information on Utah, I have found a couple websites that contain information on population change in Utah. Here are some of the websites I have found:
Census Scope
I like this website; it has a lot of information on various demographics and population change. However, they are only analyzing up to 2000.
Quick Facts from the Census Bureau
This is website uses the actual inform from the Census. It does go up through 2012 and you can select by county or city.
Utah Government
A decent site, it has projections population, employment, and age demographics.
U.S.A. [dot] com
Fantastic! Has a plethora of information for each county!
Negative Population Growth Organization
Eh, just okay. It has some information, but not a lot. Plus it is an organization, so mot sure how reliable it is…
