Your job is going to be
to discover three different artists that you have never heard of that are in
The Louvre. You will be responsible for researching each artist, analyzing
the work of art you chose by them in the museum with a brief paper on each
painting/artist, and you will be using Microsoft paint to manipulate each
work of art that you choose. This will allow you to add a technological twist
to the artworks you choose. Considering the artist’s, you are looking at will
have had no access to computers or programs to manipulate their work, it will
be up to you to show your creativity through the lens of technological
manipulation. You should gather enough information to understand each of your
three artists place in the artworld and the art movement that they are
associated with. Your project should be inventive and inspired by their work,
feel free to add current cultural elements into their work! You do not have
to just “paint” over the works that you choose. Be creative! This project will be
aligned with the ODE visual art standard: Describe sources visual artists use
to generate ideas for artworks. Students will also produce artworks based on
the ODE visual art standard: Generate a variety of solutions to visual arts
problems through preparatory work. Click
