Violent Video Games: To Fear or Not to Fear?

Video games are a wonderful way to pass the time whether you are a kid, teenager, or adult. The countless lessons they can teach you are amazing. From Super Mario Brothers on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) to the next generation of games for the newly launched Playstation 4 and Xbox One, video games have been a staple in entertainment for people around the world. I myself have been playing video games all my life, and I can say that there isn't a better way to spend my free time then picking up a controller and doing one of the things that I am most passionate about.

Now I will admit, there are violent video games out there. Do I believe that in the wrong setting that these games could scare players that aren't suited for them? Definitely, but there seems to be a controversy that video games that are violent lead to children engaging in acts of violence. Personally, I can't stand this opinion, so what this site has for you are three games that have swirled up this controversy and what the video game industry has done and what we as gamers can do to make sure that games like this do not affect us in the wrong ways.
